We believe that one of the best ways of making students aware of the gentler, more aesthetic, and diverse, yet integrated, strands of India’s culture is by systematically introducing them to various forms of Indian classical music and dance in Schools, Colleges, and Universities throughout the land. National Conventions are the congregation of the people associated with this cause, who spend one week in a unique ashram-like atmosphere.
The purpose of the convention is to leave an experience insightful of the abstract, subtle and mystical aspects that are not only intangible but are also inspiring features of Indian cultural heritage. Classical performing arts appropriates and reflects the true depths of our rich tradition and therefore the highlight of the convention will include performances of many leading cultural ambassadors of our country who have been advocating and popularizing the traditional performing arts.
