SPICMACAY Virasat Series Inauguration on 19th Oct at IIT Madras

SPICMACAY - Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst youth 

SPICMACAY celebrating its 34^th year, invites you to Virasat 2011, a festival of Classical Music and dance, Folk, Theatre, Cinema Classics, Talks, Crafts, Workshops from 19^th Oct 2011 to 23^rd Dec 2011 to be conducted in educational institutions in Chennai and other cities in Tamilnadu and Pondicherry.

This series is dedicated to:


Pandit Bhimsen Joshi, Ustad R.Fahimuddin Dagar, Ustad Asad Ali Khan,  Shri M.F   Hussain,   Vidwan T.K.Govinda Rao  and  Shri  V. Ganapati Sthapati

SPICMACAY  is   having  its  VIRASAT Inaugural concert   on    19th October 2011 at  IIT Madras by Padma Vibhushan Pandit Shivkumar Sharma's santoor concert accompanied by Pandit Ram Kumar Mishra on Tabla. 


The program will be from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm on Wednesday 19th October 2011 at the SAC - Student Activity Centre auditorium at IIT Madras campus.


On 20th October, Pandit Shivkumar Sharma will also be performing at Chennai Public School - Anna Nagar from 11 am to 12 noon.
